TITLE: UNFAITHFULNESS IS PROHIBITED

KEY TEXT: “Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint” (Proverbs 25:19 KJV).

Unfaithfulness is the cause of the problem the world is going through today. With all the comfort, peace, and abundance of all things that Adam and Eve enjoyed in the garden of Eden, they still decided to be unfaithful to God. The consequences of their unfaithfulness could be read in Genesis chapter 3. Now, we can understand how much God and His Word hates and condemns unfaithfulness. I do not know your perception of the key text, but my heart trembled when I saw how the Word of God described an unfaithful man. It is written: “confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.” What a shame to be an unfaithful child of God! This means God would not rely on him or her for anything. A foot out of joint is definitely out of use. Jeremiah 5:11 KJV 

Many Christian couples are not faithful to one another. Faithfulness is not only in the area of keeping the body for each other but in everything. Some couples are unfaithful in the area of finance. They tell lies to each other about their income and spending habits. Some are unfaithful about their properties and other possessions. All these happen when there is a lack of trust and no fear of God in the marriage. It will be difficult or impossible for someone who is unfaithful to his or her spouse to be faithful to God. Matthew 5:27 KJV 

UNFAITHFULNESS IS REBELLION BEFORE GOD: In fact, anyone who is unfaithful to God or to his or her superior is an enemy to himself or herself. Unfaithfulness is a grievous sin. No one is comfortable living with an unfaithful person. Repent now if you have been living a lifestyle of unfaithfulness. Anyone who continues in anything that would take him or her to hell is his or her own enemy. Note that every unfaithful person is also an untruthful person. We all know that all liars shall find themselves in the lake of fire. Are you unfaithful in your doings? Repent, now that you still have breath in you. The next minute may be too late for you. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today if you are not born again. John 3:3 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord God, I regret living a life of unfaithfulness and I repent today. Have mercy and forgive me. Father, I have gotten more understanding about unfaithfulness. Please, grant me the grace to hate it as you do, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much” (Luke 16:10 KJV).
