TITLE: WHEN WILL YOU EVER BE SATISFIED? 

KEY TEXT: “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity” (Ecclesiastes 5:10 KJV).

I have seen and heard about wealthy people who never rested, but kept on working very hard for more money. I have always asked myself a question that I could not answer, and I also threw the same question to some people, but they could not answer me either. The question is, how much money or possessions would one have in this world that he or she will say, “I am satisfied now. No need in looking for more money. It is time to stop working for money and start living a complete, dedicated life unto God till I die,” or how much would one have before saying, “O Lord, you have blessed me with more than enough. Stop, and let me be the one giving to you in return till death?” Luke 12:22-23 KJV 

THE WORLD WILL NOT LET YOU BE SATISFIED: This world and the forces in control have programmed the man of the flesh to its system in such a way that man has to suffer until death, regardless of the wealth he possesses. This world is a place of competition and no rest. Everyone on earth will always set a goal for himself or herself. Once a goal is achieved, another one is set. You would see a man pray for a two-bedroom flat, and once God answered him and provided it, he would immediately start looking for a bungalow. Give a man a jeep, he will immediately start seeing those flying on helicopters, hoping to fly on one, too, forgetting he was walking on foot yesterday. There is no level that a man of the flesh will get to in life that he will not see a reason to push even harder. Hebrews 13:5 KJV 

YOU MUST COME OUT OF THE WORLD: The Bible says that we are in the world, but not of it. Until one knows that he or she is not of this world, the forces of gluttony, selfishness, ingratitude, competition, discontent, and materialism will not lose their hold on him or her. It takes a complete, deliberate heavenly mindset and total submission to God’s will to overcome the powers holding people bound to the temporary pleasures of this world. Beloved in Christ, sit down and ask yourself when you will fully dedicate yourself to the service of your Maker and stop fighting for what you do not need in eternity. You will not be satisfied with whatever God gives you until you know where you are going to spend eternity. Plan more for your life after now. Remember, you must be genuinely born again. 1 Timothy 6:7-8 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me for living under the forces that control people and not being heavenly-minded. I repent of my worldliness and embrace the UNINTERRUPTED, GODLY lifestyle that is worthy of taking me into God’s Kingdom, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.  

REFLECTION: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV).
