Topic: The Church Of God Grew Greatly
Key Text: Acts 2:47 KJV - Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

During the early years of Christianity, the church of Christ grew greatly, because the early Christians walked in line with the apostles' doctrine and did everything in common. With gladness and singleness of heart, they followed the same course and minded the same things. They united themselves under the same umbrella of the Holy Spirit, and with genuine hearts, they continued daily in one accord, communing together in breaking of bread and so on. This made them obtain favour from all men, and the Lord added to the church daily those who were to be saved. Acts 2:45-47 KJV

How will the church grow in our generation when brethren who're to stand in a united front against the enemy are busy fighting one another, hate seeing new converts being added to expand the church (and worst of all, excelling more than them), and chasing the Holy Spirit of truth away and replacing Him with lies and deceit from the devil? The life of simplicity in holiness embraced by the early church versus the extravagant life of worldliness displayed by today’s church has greatly damaged the church of God. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV

Return To The Old Landmark: The old landmark is this: "... that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" Philippians 2:2-5 KJV

Prayer: O Lord, have mercy and revive the church. Please, take us back to the old landmark that was laid upon your blood and continued by the apostles of old, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Philippians 3:16 KJV
