Topic: The Chronic Deceptive Generation 
Key Text: Jeremiah 9:8 KJV - Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
 
The kind of life humanity is living today is a life of holding hands, while hearts are nowhere close to each other; a life of deception and craftiness. Surprisingly, a majority of people, most believers inclusive, are living with the heart of a serpent and not the original heart that Jesus Christ gave to them from the beginning. We are living in a cruel and dangerous generation, where money and possessions are more valued than the Owner of it. Jeremiah 17:9 KJV
 
Speaking Love With Abundant Evil In The Heart: No wonder God said in His Word, "The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it?" This is exactly what is happening today, even in the Church of God, where people are speaking peaceably, but setting traps for one another secretly. Praying together in the day and looking for how to oppress or afflict the same person at night. Where pastors lay hands on the members of their congregations to pretentiously pray for them with smiles on their faces, but selling their souls to the devil secretly. A generation with anger in their hearts but smiles on their faces. Jeremiah 17:10 KJV
 
How Would You Escape The Damnation Of Hellfire? Take counsel from the Holy Spirit and live. The gate of hellfire is wide open to people who fast and pray, evangelise, and are involved in church ceremonial activities, but their hearts are not inconsonant with the genuine love that Jesus Christ taught us. We all must learn to search the authenticity of what we are doing with others to ensure there is no hidden craftiness. Allow the Holy Spirit to take charge of your mind and submit completely to the gospel of the Cross of Redemption. This cannot be done unless one is genuinely born again. Matthew 23:33 KJV

Prayer: O Lord my God, please search my heart to see if there is any deception in me; take it away and give me the very heart you gave to me from the beginning, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
