Topic: Let Change Begin With You
Key Text: Romans 2:21-23 KJV - Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

The Scripture above calls for a critical evaluation of one's self. Many Christians love to talk about seeing certain changes happening to people, when they themselves are yet to change. How can a society experience a change if the Christians who are to bring about changes are becoming wicked by the day? Effective transformation should start from an individual seeking for a change before spreading to the next. Many born again women love to see their unbelieving husband become born again, when they themselves haven't repented from their nagging and insulting attitudes. If I may ask, since God selected you among many that through you He could reach others, have you allowed God to transform your life? Don't you still get angry when the Word of God comes to reprove and correct you? Ezekiel 22:30 KJV

Commit Yourself Totally To The Lord: The power of effective transformation takes place when one completely surrenders to God's authority. God wants to transform you so that through you, He could bring salvation to your home, marriage, family and even nations. He wants to glorify His name in that situation in your life and draw men to Himself, but are you ready to let Him take the lead? God cannot do His work in your life if He cannot gain control over your life. Completely surrender to Him and He'll remould and furnish your life, and you shall never remain the same again. Hebrews 4:12 KJV

Show The Light And Others Will Follow: It's high time that Christians started living exemplary lives and showing good examples to the people around them. The Bible calls them, "The light of the world" (Matthew 5:14-16). And because they're the light, their character, behaviour, deeds, and lifestyle should portray Christ and His qualities. In fact, the light in them should not only shine in their families, but to everyone in their societies and the world at large. Please repent and invite Christ into your life if you're not born again. John 3:3 KJV

Prayer: O Lord, I completely surrender to your authority. Please mould me and use me to your glory, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen

Reflection: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 KJV
