Topic: A Changed Personality 
Key Text : 2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

As Christians we are told by the bible to live holy lives that would reflect the nature of God. We are to separate ourselves from actions, influences, or people that could hinder our service to God or that could deprive us of our Salvation. Matthew 16:24 KJV 

Do you understand that as a Christian you are to live differently from those in the world? It sounds simple but there are lots of believers who think they can get saved and still hang out with the same old crowd; doing old things with them; thinking they can still go to the same old places; but you and I can’t. Philippians 2:15 KJV 

The bible tells Christians to be separated from the world. It means when you get saved you should change your life, friends, and your hangouts; although, it doesn't mean you should abandon your lost friends. You can still talk to your old friends after you get saved; you just change the topic of your conversations. You can still hang out with your old friends; you just change the location. Instead of going out with them; bring them to church with you. Matthew 5: 14-16 KJV 

My point is, you shouldn't  abandon sinners; yet, you must not join them either. As a Christian, you are to bring them up to your level; and not let them bring you down to theirs.

A Christian is directed by God’s word to apply the biblical principles of separation and to avoid things avoidable by God's Word. 

If the bible says, it was a sin 4000 years ago; then, it’s still a sin today. The bible does not change to fit the changing culture.

Avoid any association that could hinder the growth of your spiritual life.

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to separate myself from evil association and demonic practices that could endanger my soul; keep me holy through the help of the Holy Spirit; in Jesus mighy name; amen.

Reflection: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV
