Looking at the nature of the world today, if a census was to be conducted to know the desires of the people, one would find out that about 99% of the world's population, including the Christian population will wish for things that have no eternal value. It may surprise you that only a very few will say they desire to do the will of God and to meet with the Lord Jesus Christ in holiness. Many Christians will not even mention heaven or the rapture as their utmost priority. So sad that this is the world of today, where the desires of man is vain and centred only around this world and its passing away riches. Matthew 24:2 KJV

Key Text: Matthew 7:22-23 KJV - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

From our key text, the Scripture tells us how some believers will stand to defend themselves on the day of judgment. Many will stand to tell the Lord how they sang, preached, evangelized, gave alms to the poor, went to church daily, did all the church work, performed many signs and wonders etc. But the Lord Jesus said He will tell them that He doesn't know them, because they are workers of iniquity. Who then are the workers of iniquity? They are those who go to church and do whatever they do for the Lord, but forgetting to work out their own salvation in the fear of God and in obedience to His word. They concentrate on their work for God, forgetting their walk with Him is very important. At the judgment seat, they are not recognized because their names are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life. They failed to live a holy life that was demanded of them in 1 Peter 1:15-16, which would have made Christ to recognize them as His very own. Luke 10:20 KJV

The aspect of complaining is very detrimental in the life of a believer. Christians end up chasing the Spirit of God away from their lives once they start complaining over issues that could have been easily overcome with the help of the Holy Spirit. When people start to complain, the ability to effectively think right to end with a positive result is hindered; hence, unnecessary mistakes and errors that could have been avoided start to occur and may sometimes lead to chaos and regrets. The world is gradually becoming so unconducive for one to live in. One's eyes cannot behold the happenings around the world, as there are unending wars, killings and deaths everywhere, coupled with natural disasters in various parts of the world.
