TITLE: THE INESCAPABLE ENCOUNTER 

KEY TEXT: Psalm 146:4 KJV: “His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.”

I was asked a question by the Spirit of the Living God, and I had no answer. He asked me, "Do you know when you will breathe your last breath?" I replied, “No.” He then said, "So does all of humanity." This is one reason we must be careful with the way we live our lives. Know that whatever state a person is in before his or her death would be used to judge him or her. A person’s last state of mind or lifestyle will determine his or her eternity. So, preserve your last breath in holiness and righteousness. 2 Samuel 14:14 KJV 

YOU HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE: Everyone on earth has an appointment with death that must be kept. It is amazing that many people are not conscious of their last breath. Most people, especially the rich, tend to forget that they will die one day and their souls will be required of them. Knowing that your soul will be required of you at any time, what kind of lifestyle are you living? Is your lifestyle pleasing to your Maker, or is it making Him angry? Remember that the Lord is always angry with the wicked. Hebrews 9:27 KJV 

DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS SOUL: Someone might ask, "Why would you say, ‘Do not waste your soul for nothing?’” What about if a soul goes to hell after making and enjoying wealth in full on earth, with all the jets, chains of cars, and fat bank accounts? Well, with all your points, I still say, “Do not go to hell for nothing.” The riches in the whole world joined together is equal to nothing compared to a soul. Nothing on earth is worth going to hell for. Place a priceless value on your soul. Philippians 3:7 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, I want to make it to Heaven. Please help me live my life in accordance with your Word, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36 KJV).
