TITLE: JESUS CHRIST DESERVES TO BE REMEMBERED (Part 3)

KEY TEXT: Matthew 27:30 KJV, “And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.”

They smote the Lord Jesus Christ on the head, yet He said nothing, but only watched the people He made strike Him. The same people He said, “Let us create man in our own image and likeness.” What kind of a man was He? I cannot imagine being okay with my children waking up in the morning and not greeting me. You can only wonder how long the mockery and humiliation Jesus took. Isaiah 53:7 KJV

HIS SUFFERING WAS INCOMPARABLE: Who is that film actor that can re-enact the suffering Jesus endured in that common hall? Who can envisage what happened to the King of kings in the room in the presence of the soldiers? Can you imagine what happened to Him in that hall? There is no way the soldiers spared any part of His body. But you and I today decide not to serve God, because the job we so desire, documents, pregnancy, etc., has not come. We refuse to go for evangelism because it is too cold or the sun is too hot outside, or the job is too demanding and we have to rest. 1 John 3:1-10 KJV

CHRIST DIED ONCE AND FOR ALL: We must be aware that no matter what we do, He will never be humiliated again. Therefore, whether we serve Him or not, it does not take away from His glory. It is written already that every knee shall bow before Him; therefore, if you refuse to serve Him now, you will serve Him in hell. Anyone who refuses to do what he or she is supposed to do on earth, Satan knows it, and if the person gets to hell, he or she will be forced to do it. If you know what is good for you, you will do everything you have to do now that you still have breath. Philippians 2:8-10 KJV

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please have mercy on me and give me the grace to choose and walk in your way whilst I am still alive, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand” (Isaiah 53:10 KJV).
