TITLE: JESUS CHRIST DESERVES TO BE REMEMBERED (Part 2)

KEY TEXT: Isaiah 53:8 KJV, “He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”

From the very first day Christ was born to this world, He knew He was to suffer and be condemned. He knew every day that came would draw Him to the day of humiliation, in which everyone would abandon Him. He was naked for you and I so that we will not be naked in hell on the last day. He was humiliated so that we will not be humiliated in hell. Isaiah 53:11 KJV

DO NOT DROP YOUR CROSS FOR ANYTHING: What have I gone through that is making me cry that He never went through for me? What would anyone tell me that would make me drop the mantle He has given me? What have I gone through that would warrant me not completing my contract with Him? Matthew 27:31 KJV

HE HUMBLED HIMSELF TO DEATH: Nothing was made that was made without Him, yet He brought Himself so low into a common hall to be humiliated. This is the same Jesus that John the Baptist spoke about saying, “whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to unloose”, and the same that the 24 elders, living creatures and the angels bow before. Those who crucified Him bowed their knees before Him and mocked Him saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” just as some of us are doing to Him today. We bow down to mock Him again after all the mockery He went through. Some of us call Jesus with our mouths and serve Satan with our doings. John 19:3 KJV

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please have mercy on me, wherever I have dropped my work for you and walk with you because of my present trials. I repent and receive the grace to continue with you to the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (1 Corinthians 5:8 KJV).
