TITLE: WHEN YOUR OBEDIENCE IS FULFILLED 

KEY TEXT: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14 KJV).

God knew there was no way the Israelites could have escaped the wrath of King Pharaoh when he pursued them to the Red Sea. God was the only Savior they had, but He needed their obedience to save them. He commanded them to hold their peace and be still. This is the same thing God expects from His children who are running up and down, killing themselves over things He could easily do for them if only they would obey His Word, hold their peace, and watch Him fight for them. So many believers are fighting unending battles while some have given up the fight, and some have surrendered to the enemy by seeking help where it does not exist. A lot of believers died fighting, and eventually, found themselves in hell. 2 Chronicles 20:15 KJV 

Has God Almighty become a liar? God forbid! He said that He will fight for His children and they shall hold their peace. But who are the children that God says He will fight for? Are they the same people whom Jesus Christ said that they are of their father, the devil, in John 8:44a? What makes you think that God would not strengthen the hands of the enemy against you in that battle? You cannot ask God to fight for you while you are seeking other ways for help; it is a mockery to Him. You are supposed to give up the fight and hold your peace once you call God into it. Romans 6:16 KJV

God will not answer you, because you are to first call Him into the battle. Also, God will not fight for you just because you called on Him. He is a just God who fights just battles. One cannot be a rebellious believer and expect God to fight for him or her. Remember, the same God who delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians was the same God who destroyed them in the wilderness. God, therefore, demands your obedience to fight for you, not tears and prayers in hypocrisy. 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please give me the spirit of complete obedience to obey your Word, so that you can fight every battle in my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled" (2 Corinthians 10:6 KJV).
