TITLE: THE BELIEVER’S NON-NEGOTIABLE LIFESTYLE

KEY TEXT: “Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord” (Isaiah 52:11 KJV).

Every employee in a company or organization is taught the dos and don'ts in their workplace or organization. No employer employs workers without an agreement containing the ethics of the company. It is only in Christianity that I see people jumping into God's work without knowing what they are getting into. Most men who call themselves overseers have no knowledge of the ways of God, hence, they become blind leaders leading blind followers. Most Christians are in church, not knowing what God demands of them. Let it be known to you that God demands that anyone doing His work should be clean and remain clean. It is totally non-negotiable for those who choose to walk with God and work for Him to keep themselves away from sin. Those walking with God are supposed to have the mindset of holiness. 1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV 

YOU MUST BE NATURALLY HOLY: God is holy and perfect, so you are not to be compelled or persuaded to live a holy lifestyle, which is the symbol of God’s true children. Holiness should undoubtedly be the lifestyle of every true child of God. Being born again does not end in believing in Jesus Christ and professing to be working for God. It is a total change from the old man of sin to the new man of holiness in Christ. You are not just to be holy but perfectly holy. It is written: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 KJV

DO YOU HAVE POWER OVER SIN, SELF, AND SATAN?: A true, born-again child of God is supposed to have power over sin and iniquity. Jesus Christ never struggled with sin while on His earthly ministry of man’s redemption. Your words, actions, and reactions must be godly, and the people you associate with should carry the nature of Christ. A true, spirit-filled believer must not be found doing evil or in the midst of evildoers, because the Holy Spirit rules all the time in his or her life. The world and its fantasies should have no power over a sanctified believer. Be a true, born-again believer if you are not one yet. Pray and ask God what He demands from you personally. Apostle Paul asked Jesus Christ what was required of him on his way to Damascus and he was told. Do not work blindly anymore. Romans 8:1-2 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please work on me until I become perfect as you demand of me. Reveal to me what you want me to do and the life I must live to glorify you and to see you in glory at last, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine” (Leviticus 20:26 KJV).
