Topic: STRUGGLING FOR VANITIES 
Key Text: Ecclesiastes 1:2 KJV - Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

There is nothing more foolish than for one to try to acquire all that the world offers. The world can only offer temporary happiness but eternal death and horror await anyone that dies enjoying the pleasures of the world of iniquity. I have seen both the billionaire and the poor die; then, both have to face eternity without taking anything out of this world of vanity. Psalm 144:4 KJV 

Learn From King Solomon: If Solomon whose blessings and riches came directly from God can still call all that he ever acquired Vanities; I wonder the kind of wealth or possessions anyone would gain in this sinful and abominable world that would be worth dying for. Maybe you have made up your mind to get what you needed by all means; even, if it means taking you your last drop of blood; Hmmm, have a rethink, my beloved. Ecclesiastes 5:10 KJV 

Remember The Last Funeral You Attended: Of a truth, without being told, you have attended a funeral. You saw how the dead were buried without any of his or her property. How did you feel when the grave was covered? Days, weeks, and years have gone; yet, the dead are still in the grave. Have you ever related it to yourself at all? One day you would be left in the grave by those you love and all your wealth of vanity; then, your soul would face the reality of eternity. Hebrews 9:27 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, grant me the grace to take my mind away from the vanities of this world; and focus on heaven where my hope is; in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen. 

Reflection: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
Matthew 6:20 KJV
