The Forsaken Cross Of Salvation

Topic: The Forsaken Cross Of Salvation
Key Text: John 10:10-11 KJV - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, sacrificed Himself on the cross of Calvary in order to give humanity a satisfying life that will guarantee eternity in heaven. He is and remains the only door through which those who hear His voice and come in will find good pastures and be saved. Unfortunately today, the purpose of His death has been forsaken by many in pursuit of earthly pleasures that have no eternal value. The gospel of prosperity and grace without salvation is what is being preached on the pulpits of today's churches; nevertheless, the voice of the Shepherd is still being heard loudly, calling to the sheep to repent and come back to the way of righteousness, which is the only way to life everlasting in heaven. John 10:9 KJV

Key Text: Romans 2:21-23 KJV - Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

The Scripture above calls for a critical evaluation of one's self. Many Christians love to talk about seeing certain changes happening to people, when they themselves are yet to change. How can a society experience a change if the Christians who are to bring about changes are becoming wicked by the day? Effective transformation should start from an individual seeking for a change before spreading to the next. Many born again women love to see their unbelieving husband become born again, when they themselves haven't repented from their nagging and insulting attitudes. If I may ask, since God selected you among many that through you He could reach others, have you allowed God to transform your life? Don't you still get angry when the Word of God comes to reprove and correct you? Ezekiel 22:30 KJV

Key Text: Psalms 81:15 KJV - The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

It baffles me greatly when some people react angrily when the gospel of God is brought to them, especially those in the Western world. The same demons that are making them react that way have also crept into Africans, making them to see God as their enemy, while others would even say there's no God at all. Those are the ones the Bible calls fools. Satan in his wickedness against mankind has in his craftiness turned the vast majority of people against themselves, but they actually think they're against God. Romans 1:30-31 KJV

Key Text: Matthew 7:21 KJV - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Not many believers are taking the Scripture in today's Divine Inspiration key text seriously. The Lord has forewarned us of the danger ahead if we are not careful to search out what the will of God is concerning our lives. Not everyone that says, “Lord, Lord” shall enter into the Kingdom of God. It means that God will not stop anyone from calling upon His name, even in iniquity, but will definitely stop any from entering into His Kingdom with sin. Habakkuk 1:13a KJV

Key Text: Matthew 12:34 KJV - O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

The minds of people usually go to those who are shedding human blood, doing rituals, defrauding others of their money, committing abortion, engaging in homosexuality, and other grievous acts of sin whenever the word “wickedness” is being mentioned. But is that how God classifies a wicked person? Not at all. Every act of sin or disobedience is wickedness to God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 KJV

Key Text: Luke 10:20 KJV - Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

It is unfortunate that some believers believe that they're very close to Jesus Christ to the extent that He would even compromise His Word for them when they get to the judgment seat. To ever think that way is chronic foolishness. Jesus Christ has said that He will tell you He never knew you if you are playing games with your salvation and die that way. Do you think Jesus Christ is joking? Don't look at Jesus Christ as one of those pastors, or one of those kings on earth who could be manipulated. No, No, No, Jesus Christ is a Holy God who keeps His Word. Psalm 138:2 KJV

The Word Of God Has The Solution

Key Text: 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

The only true and lasting solution to the problems many individuals, families, institutions, workers, governments and nations are facing is wrapped up in the same Word of God that they’re running away from. Satan has succeeded in making man to hate the solution to his problems and to start chasing after shadows, thereby adding more problems to existing ones. Whosoever keeps himself or herself from the Word of God does it to his or her own detriment. There's no solution in any other, except in Jesus Christ. Remember, Jesus Christ is the same as the Word of God. John 1:1 KJV

Key Text: Psalms 28:7 KJV - The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

My beloved in Christ Jesus, I may not know what you are going through right now, and may not know how long you have been in the situation you're in right now. Probably, you might have been waiting on God for a particular thing and it seems not forthcoming, and you might have equally prayed and fasted. Some men and women of God could have given you some tasks that God never directed them to do, all in the name of wanting to give a solution. I want to let you know that God is not a man who fails. No! No! No! God never fails. He has been tested and trusted. Numbers 23:19 KJV

Godly Patience Is Demanded

Key Text: Luke 8:15 KJV - But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

You can see what Jesus Christ pointed out in the parable of the sower. The seed (Word of God) that fell on good soil are the ones who brought forth fruits in the end, but not without patience. He said, "and bring forth fruit with patience." It means that patience is highly recommended for any true believer who wants to do the will of God and see Jesus Christ someday in glory. For the few years I have walked with Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit, I have concluded that no other work on earth requires patience more than the work of God. Habakkuk 2:3 KJV

Key Text: 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV - Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Apostle Paul gave a very wise and important advice to all the believers to examine themselves to see whether they're in the faith. Many professing believers are not actually born again, nor are they in the faith. Most have fallen, thinking they are still in the faith. Many have had their names removed from the Book of Life unknowingly, but they're still acting as Christians, even when the gate of hellfire is wide open for the careless souls and sinners. Many feel too big or too important to examine themselves and make amendments if found wanting. 1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV
