TITLE: YOU, YOUR GLORY AND THE IDOLS IN YOUR LIFE (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: 1 Corinthians 10:14 KJV: “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

The Bible urges us to flee from idolatry. It is not until you carve an image and say you are serving it that you are idolatrous. The lofty mind you carry, making you worship yourself, is an idol.  Allow peace to reign in other people's hearts. Let us allow one another to live in peace. Let us love others genuinely, not loving others from the front and biting them at the back. Ephesians 4:2

I should stop hurting you and you stop hurting me. Allow others to serve God joyfully. If they should expect temptations, let it be from those from far and not from those who are close. Let us also be truthful with one another. If you are angry at a brother/sister, approach them and let them know you are not happy with their behaviour. Matthew 18:15

KEY TEXT: Proverbs 16:18 KJV: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Some people have handed over their own glory to the devil. How? The Bible says that pride goes before a fall. The day they raised themselves above measure is the day they handed over their glory to the devil. The day you raised yourself is the day your glory flew away from you. You know the prideful life you are living. You know where you have put yourself that you are not supposed to be. You know where you have exalted yourself in your mind. Isaiah 14:14-15

KEY TEXT: John 14:6 KJV: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

There were many false men and women in the past (and also to this day) who claimed they were the way that led to Heaven. They claimed to be Jesus Christ or God and that they were leading those who followed them to Heaven. Men and women who claim to be what they are not are confused and are confusing their blind followers. Unfortunately, most of these so-called gods are represented by cows, goats, serpents, statues, or dead people's bones, while others are led by those who have made a covenant with the devil. None of these people can boldly confess their stance on God. Matthew 7:15

TITLE: FORGIVENESS FROM THE HEART

KEY TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:32 KJV: “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

FORGIVENESS DEFINED: Forgiveness in the Bible is a "release" or a "dismissal" of something. Biblical forgiveness is the process of forgiving someone or being forgiven, as illustrated in the Bible. Forgiveness itself is defined as the letting go of sin. In the Bible, this includes forgiving everyone, every time, for everything. God has forgiven us our sins, and we also have to forgive others of their trespasses. Let go of any hurt anyone may have caused you. Matthew 18:35

KEY TEXT: LUKE 13:24 KJV: "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

It is clearly written that we should strive against sin and fight daily to enter into the Kingdom of God. It's amazing to hear people saying, "You will be surprised to see me in heaven." They claim to want to be there, even as an unrepentant prostitute, bandit, thief, armed robber, fornicator, etc. I have this question for such people: how possible would it be for them to make it to Heaven in their unrepentant state? They would always respond, "I am a good person, my heart is clean." John 3:36

TITLE: REMEMBER THE QUIET TIME (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Matthew 14:23 KJV: “And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.”

THE WORD IN QUIET TIME: The quiet time involves various spirit-filled activities, and one of which is an intentional reading of God’s Word to understand what God is saying to you. God can speak to His people in many ways, but one of the main avenue is through His Word, the Bible. It's crucial to have the scripture with you during quiet times, and perhaps even selecting a specific book of the Bible to read through. You could begin with the Gospel or Genesis. Since the Bible is one of the primary ways God communicates with us, investing in His Word should be a priority. 2 Timothy 3:16

It involves setting aside a specific time each day for prayer and meditation on the scripture. So, allocate time to spend with the Lord; avoid rushing and be fully present. This dedicated time allows for praising, worshiping, praying, and studying about God, making it an essential component of our Christian daily life. Luke 5:16

There has never been anyone who faithfully and patiently waited on the Lord in the time of need or trouble that has not been visited by God at His own appointed time. We need to develop the mind of waiting on God's own timing to do what we know He would do. Our problem, most of the time, is that we pray with a set time, in which we expect our prayers to be answered in our hearts. Many are disappointed and tend to walk out on God when their own set time is past without their prayers being answered. Isaiah 30:18

It is only on an ungodly and corrupt earth that the wicked are being celebrated and given an award for a job well-done in wickedness. It is only on earth one stubbornly determines what he or she wants to do and stands by his or her decision, whether it is good or bad, so long as it yields the desired money or fame. You would hear someone stubbornly ask, "Who is God to tell me what and what not to do?" All the hardness and stubbornness of men ends on earth. Involuntary and compulsory humility starts immediately when one leaves his or her body and sets off for an eternal journey. Hebrews 9:27
