TITLE: YOU, YOUR GLORY AND THE IDOLS IN YOUR LIFE (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: 1 Corinthians 10:14 KJV: “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

The Bible urges us to flee from idolatry. It is not until you carve an image and say you are serving it that you are idolatrous. The lofty mind you carry, making you worship yourself, is an idol.  Allow peace to reign in other people's hearts. Let us allow one another to live in peace. Let us love others genuinely, not loving others from the front and biting them at the back. Ephesians 4:2

I should stop hurting you and you stop hurting me. Allow others to serve God joyfully. If they should expect temptations, let it be from those from far and not from those who are close. Let us also be truthful with one another. If you are angry at a brother/sister, approach them and let them know you are not happy with their behaviour. Matthew 18:15

Do not greet them with a hypocritical smile, yet your heart is beating in anger and proceed to gossip about them to someone else. Those you tell will never trust you because they know you will also tell their matter to a third party. On the other hand, there are some brethren who look at those who are doing God's work with a suspicious mind, yet they cannot contribute to any good work. Philippians 3:2

PRAYER: Anything inside of me making me to hear the Word of God and do the opposite, be destroyed, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 2 Corinthians 13:11 KJV: “Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
