TITLE: YOU, YOUR GLORY, AND THE IDOLS IN YOUR LIFE

KEY TEXT: Proverbs 16:18 KJV: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Some people have handed over their own glory to the devil. How? The Bible says that pride goes before a fall. The day they raised themselves above measure is the day they handed over their glory to the devil. The day you raised yourself is the day your glory flew away from you. You know the prideful life you are living. You know where you have put yourself that you are not supposed to be. You know where you have exalted yourself in your mind. Isaiah 14:14-15

God knows that you have broken the Scripture, and serpents have bit you now. Let us examine and humble ourselves before the Lord and count others better than ourselves. You may feel that you are better and that everyone must bow to you. By doing this, you gradually sell your glory. Let us swallow our pride and begin to love one another. James 4:10

Satan cannot take your glory or harm you when your life glorifies God. The day you turned your back from God is the day your glory turned its back on you. When you obey God, you do not need to pray much, as everything will obey you. If you love your neighbor the way God expects, Heaven will love you. James 4:6

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, give me the grace to humble myself so that your glory and honor will not depart from my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 2 Chronicles 32:26 KJV: “Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.”
