TITLE: CONSISTENCY IN CHRISTIAN LIVING (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Being a Steady Example: Paul urges Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12 to "be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." Consistency in our behavior makes us reliable witnesses of Christ’s love and truth. 2 PETER 3:14

Diligence in Good Works: Galatians 6:9 encourages perseverance in doing good, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Consistent good works are part of our calling as Christians. PROVERBS 12:24 

Consistency in Love: John 13:34 commands, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." Our love for others should be consistent, reflecting the unconditional love of Christ. 1 CORINTHIANS 16:14


PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, let your love, fear, and truth dwell in me richly, and grant me a steadfast grace to do your will continually, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.
