TITLE: CONSISTENCY IN CHRISTIAN LIVING (PART 6)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 12:1 KJV: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."

CONSISTENCY IN FORGIVENESS: Matthew 18:21-22 teaches us about the importance of consistent forgiveness: "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." Consistent forgiveness reflects the mercy we have received from God. MARK 11:25

UNCHANGING COMMITMENT: Psalm 37:5 encourages, "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." A consistent commitment to God’s will leads to His guidance and blessing in our lives. JAMES 5:10-11

THE ULTIMATE REWARD: Revelation 2:10 assures us that consistency in faithfulness, even unto death, is rewarded, "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." The ultimate reward for consistent Christian living is eternal life with God. Consistency in the Christian life is essential. It is through a steady, unwavering commitment to God and His Word that we can live out our faith in a way that honors Him and influences others. HEBREWS 10:36

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please grant me a consistent grace to be faithful in my daily walk with you and work for you, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 Corinthians 9:24 KJV: "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain."
