TITLE: STEADFASTNESS IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 8:18 KJV: “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

In a world where challenges often test our faith in Jesus Christ and our determination to serve God faithfully, steadfastness becomes a virtue worth embracing. The King James Bible offers timeless wisdom on this matter. In Philippians 4:13, it proclaims, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." This verse underscores the power of faith and determination in overcoming obstacles, reminding us that with unwavering resolve, we can triumph over adversity. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:18

Moreover, in Joshua 1:9, we find reassurance in times of uncertainty: "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." This verse instills confidence and courage, urging us to stand firm in our convictions and face challenges head-on, knowing that divine support from God through the Holy Spirit accompanies us every step of the way. JAMES 2:12

Lastly, in 1 Corinthians 15:58, we are encouraged to remain steadfast in our endeavors: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." This verse serves as a reminder that persistence in doing good and pursuing righteousness yields eternal rewards, motivating us to persevere even when the journey seems long and arduous. 3 PETER 1:5-8

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, as the race for eternal rest in heaven gets more difficult and temptation and trials increase every single day, help me to remain steadfast till the end in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: James 1:12 KJV: “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
