TITLE: DON'T MORTGAGE YOUR GIFT OF SALVATION

KEY TEXT: Mark 8:36 KJV: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Everyone on earth has been given the opportunity to receive the priceless gift that could give meaning to their lives. An individual would have lived a wasted life without fulfilling the purpose for which he/she was created. Jesus Christ left His exalted throne in heaven and came to earth to give His life as a gift to humanity. Unfortunately, the majority has rejected such a precious gift that would have given them a place in Heaven. John 3:16

No one is safe without salvation. Have you been able to answer the question in the key text that says: “What will it profit you if you gain the whole world, and lose your soul?” Beloved, the truth you must know is that whether one is poor or rich, he/she will end up in hellfire without Jesus Christ in his/her life. Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only sure way to eternal life in Heaven (John 14:6). Are you saved? Is your salvation genuine? Are you living the life worthy of living with Jesus Christ in Heaven? Is your right to eternal life not truncated because of the pleasures of sin? Remember, the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God (salvation) is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, paid the price for the restoration of your soul with His own blood. There is no costlier price to pay for the redemption of the lost souls. Even the money in the whole world put together cannot buy the soul of a week old baby. The soul of the baby in the womb is costlier than the world itself. It's a pity that most people love the perishable things of this world more than their own souls. Beloved of God, are you genuinely saved and living your life to please Christ? Keep it up. It may be painful to live such a lifestyle due to many things drawing one's attention to the things of this world. Please don't give up striving in holiness. Your salvation is nearer than when you begun. Romans 13:11

PRAYER: My Father and my God, have mercy upon me and restore my soul if I have unknowingly mortgaged my salvation for the perishable and temporary things of this world. Save my soul before it is too late, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:10 KJV: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
