TITLE: REALIZING YOUR DESIRE

KEY TEXT: Psalm 27:4 KJV: “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”

We all have desires. Men die with desires. There is nobody on earth that does not have a desire. Everybody has something they wish for. My desire may not be your desire, but we all are fighting to make sure we fulfill our desires. Anyone who wants to build a house has their desired end. They will buy land, design their house, and employ workers to build their desired house. Proverbs 13:19

For us to realise our desires we must do something. Except the Lord helps you to acquire your desire, it will end up in disarray. Except the Lord helps you to plan your plans with you, your plans will fail. Except you hand over your desire to the Lord, your desire might destroy you. I don’t know the goal you want to attain in life. You don’t need to stress yourself unnecessarily. Psalm 37:4

The Bible says that except the Lord builds a house or watches over a city, that means He is a Builder and Watchman. He will watch over your desire to make sure it comes to pass. The problem is that we are crafty sometimes. It is until we destroy the plans in our hands that we ask God to come and patch things for us. Commit your things to Him when they are still in the initial stage. Let God start with you from the beginning, and not after everything is destroyed that you begin calling on God. Psalm 127:1

PRAYER: Almighty God, I commit all my plans to you from henceforth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Psalm 10:17 KJV: “Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear”
