TITLE: THE IRREPLACEABLE PLACE OF LOVE IN HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS LIVING 

KEY TEXT: Matthew 7:12 KJV: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

The key text marks the bedrock of true holiness and righteousness. Until a believer is able to put others in his or her shoes, having the mind of Christ, he or she is not yet a true believer. Beloved in Christ, you are not born again, if you can still do hurtful things to others without considering how it would be if it were done to you. Romans 12:10 KJV


How could you say that you are born again if you still find it pleasurable to see others in pain? You who profess to be born again, do you have the life of Christ in you? Is the mind of Jesus Christ in you? 1 Corinthians 2:16 says, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.” You must have the mind of Christ and the genuine love of Christ in you to be bold to say you are a true believer. 1 John 4:20 KJV


Do you want others to love, honor and celebrate you? Learn to do so to others, too (1 Peter 2:17; 5:3). It is written: “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” We are to consider one another in all things. We must learn to love, pray, and care for one another if we want to be loved and cared for by others. Hebrews 12:3 says, “For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” We all must learn from this Bible verse and make our ways right with one another. Love speaks louder than the fastest sound. Hebrews 10:24 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, have mercy and forgive me, in any way I have been thinking about myself and not others. Let the mind of Christ be given to me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV).
