TITLE: CHRIST, THE GIFT OF LIFE

KEY TEXT: JOHN 6:50 KJV, “This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.“

Jesus of Nazareth is the gift of life. In Him, everything consists. If not for Jesus, the earth would not have life, and Heaven would not have peace. He also came to die for us so that we would have life, and He drove satan out of Heaven so that it would be free. The Lord told me that He is the gift of life while satan is the gift of death. ROMANS 6:23 KJV

The Bible says that sin is the prerequisite to death. For the wages of sin (satan) is death, but the gift of God (Jesus Christ) is eternal life. For you to have the gift of life, you must have Christ in you. In Isaiah 53:6, it says that all we like sheep have gone astray. Every sheep without a shepherd is liable to die young or go astray. The life of the sheep (children of God) is contained in the Shepherd (Christ). ISAIAH 53:6 KJV

Can you understand what the Lord is saying? We all went astray and were liable to die; our judgment was already set. We were born to die. Until a sinner becomes a Christian, nobody is born to live. God laid all our iniquity on Christ in order for us to be justified and have life. He gave us His righteousness and took our sins away. So, whenever God sees us, He sees Christ. ISAIAH 53:5 KJV

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, I receive the gift of life in you today. I’m saved and my portion is with you in Heaven, as I receive the grace to go and sin no more, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (TITUS 2:14 KJV).
