TITLE: LIVE AS A STRANGER IN A STRANGE WORLD

KEY TEXT: “How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?” (PSALM 137:4 KJV).

How many believers actually know that they are in a very strange world? A world that is left for the wicked to enjoy their wickedness for a few days before facing the consequences of their wickedness in another chronic, strange world of sorrow, agony, torment, and horror. The world is strange and that is why one is seeing strange and unbelievable things happening. All magnitudes of evil can be seen today in this strange world filled with strange and wicked monsters of human beings without human feelings. PSALM 1:1 KJV 

LIVE AS A STRANGER THAT YOU ARE: Oh, what a crash of purpose! So many children of God have had their purpose of coming to this world shipwrecked, because they failed to realize they were strangers in this world and wanted to compete with the people of the world. They were swallowed up by the forces of rebellion, and they are now living in rebellion against the Word of God. Tell me, how possible will it be for a sheep to compete with a pig in the mud? A pig does not embark on a dirty competition; he owns the award of being the dirtiest and most polluted animal on the earth. Dirtiness is a hobby to a pig, just as worldliness is a lifestyle to those of this world. PROVERBS 1:15 KJV 

YOU CANNOT COMPETE WITH THOSE OF THIS WORLD: It is really heart-melting to see children of God, who are supposed to be living as pilgrims, labouring day and night to become like the people of this world. One could hardly differentiate a sister going to church from those going to the club. The children of God, who are supposed to go back to their eternal country in Heaven, are dying and ending up in hell with the people of this world. What a great loss to the Kingdom of God! Child of God, have you ever sat down to think about your eternal journey as a stranger in this world? Come out from among the worldly people and be separated unto God. ROMANS 12:2 KJV 

PRAYER: Lord, have mercy on me, in any way I have mingled myself with the system of this strange world. I repent today and ask for the grace to be conscious of eternity, as I separate myself unto godliness henceforth, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 CORINTHIANS 6:17 KJV).
