TITLE: YOU ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF TIME

KEY TEXT: “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:36 KJV).

It is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Many, during this time when the end of all things have come (a time most dangerous and cruel), have allowed the devil to stop their reasoning abilities. The enemy of men’s souls has successfully captured the minds of many people, sparing not the believers and is leading them to do things that are hell-bound and detrimental to their souls. The lying serpent called the devil has made many people think that they have all the time in the world to live the life they do not know how it was given to them by God, as they deem fit. They enjoy living in sin and iniquity while walking joyfully to a place of no return called hellfire. Millions are already in hell, regretting why they lived the way they did, but it is everlastingly too late. Mark 8:36-37 KJV 

DEATH COULD COME AT ANYTIME: It is so overwhelming to see elderly people, who are naturally approaching their graves, living careless lives, thinking they still have more time to live the sinful lives they have been living since their youth. That is one of the reasons one would see old politicians and business people engaging in ungodly acts, looting government treasury, killing to stay in position, or doing rituals, thinking they have their lives in their hands. It is unfortunate that a majority of them die in their sins and face eternal torment in hell. Repent now! It is chronic foolishness for one to delay his or her salvation, hoping to see another opportunity tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 KJV

MAKE YOUR YOUTHFUL AGE USEFUL: It is so painful seeing many youths being deceived by Satan lying to them that they are too young to surrender to Jesus Christ. They could go to church, sing in the choir, play instruments, or do anything done by youths in the church, but still live in sin. Some are totally taken away from the church to enjoy iniquity. They are too blind to see that others in their age group are dying. Beloved, please surrender your life to Jesus Christ today, for your time is running out very fast. John 3:3 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please have mercy on me, in any way I have allowed myself to be deceived by the devil, thinking I still have more time to live in sin. I repent of all the sins I have committed, as I receive the grace to live holy all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12 KJV).
