TITLE: PUT YOUR HOPE IN GOD

KEY TEXT: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV).

It is clearly stated that every believer must look unto, follow, and walk with Jesus, but a majority of today's believers have decided to put Jesus Christ aside and have begun to look unto men who do not even know their left from their right. Many believers who are genuinely born again run to-and-fro to so-called men of "god" who cannot even remember when they became born again or had any calling from the God they profess to have called them. Many are busy carrying fetish substances up and down, taking it as their defence. This is so shameful. James 1:8 KJV 

RETRACE YOUR STEPS BACK TO GOD: A lot of believers have placed themselves on hold perpetually. Their blessings are on hold as long as they have the strength to run from one place to another, looking for one man or something outside God that could help them. They will remain in darkness until they trace their way back to Jesus Christ, the only Fountain of life. There is no solution or deliverance in any other source or man. Every other way leads to unnecessary stress. Run back to your Deliverer. Job 22:23 KJV  

FORSAKE NOT YOUR LIFE: After due consideration, I concluded that life outside of Jesus Christ is a life lived in waste. Lots of people are actually wasting away, though they have money, chains of cars, wives, children, and concubines in every state and country. Some are in the church fervently serving themselves and their needs, not God. Some trust in their jet-flying pastors instead of the life-giving God. One thing is for sure, all knees must bow to Jesus Christ (either on earth or in hell). The choice is yours. Philippians 2:8-10 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please have mercy on me, in any way I have looked to man for help. I repent of my ignorance and have decided to trust in you, my Fountain of life alone, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:22 KJV).
