TITLE: IT IS ALWAYS FOR THE GOOD OF MAN

KEY TEXT: "And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them" (Ezekiel 20:11 KJV).

It is unimaginable seeing people doing things in the house of God as if they are helping God. Some believers take God's given instructions or directives to be to the benefit of God if they obey and do it. Some stopped what they used to do or are now doing it looking for who will offend them so that they will stop, thinking Heaven will stop existing if they stop what they are doing. They forgot that before them there was Heaven and after them Heaven will still be in existence. Everything God asks man to do is always for his own good. God is at the peak of His glory and does not need man's help to become God that He is. Anything God allows us to do is because He loves us. God loves us so much that He gave us statutes and commandments to keep us from doing evil to our own souls. Unfortunately, most people think that the commandments are a way for God to lord over man. We must understand that God is Sovereign, the Almighty, and the Creator of everything. He has power over His creation, with or without the law or commandments. Remember, those who died in their sins before the law was given to Moses became a law unto themselves, and they were sent to hellfire. Romans 2:14 KJV

YOU ARE THE BENEFICIARY OR THE LOSER: It is painful to see some people consciously living in sin, thinking that they are doing it to hurt Jesus Christ. You could see some people having pleasure in marrying animals, marrying the same gender, fornicating, committing idolatry, adultery, and prostitution, etc., thinking they are mocking God. The Word of God says: “But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." Is either one obey God and live or disobey and die, Proverbs 8:36 KJV

YOU ARE EITHER KILLING OR KEEPING YOUR SOUL: Beloved, we can save our souls from the damnable wages of sin, which is death. Our souls lament any time we sin. The soul knows that he is the one at the receiving end, good or bad, he is the one to give an account to God of what the flesh did on earth. The soul of a dead sinner is the one that suffers torment in hellfire. He is also the one that will enjoy heaven if found blameless. Save your soul now by avoiding all forms of sin and use all your heart to do God's work joyfully.  Proverbs 6:32 KJV

Prayer: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me, for thinking I was serving you or doing anything in your house for your own good. I have realised my error and I repent. I receive the grace to totally surrender all to you joyfully. Please grant me the grace to run from sin so that I do not send my soul to eternal damnation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: “He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die” (Proverbs 19:16 KJV).
