TITLE: MAKE GIVING A LIFESTYLE

KEY TEXT: “But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased” (Hebrews 13:16 KJV).

Not all believers know the power of holy and sacrificial giving. I am not talking about giving to gain recognition or hypocritical giving. I mean giving from the heart to the glory of God alone. Giving is one way to get to the heart of God easily, for example, giving to the poor, less privileged, orphans, the work of God and those that God put in charge of your spiritual wellbeing that are genuinely working to make sure you are right with God and set for Heaven. A lot of believers do not know the judgment of God. Holiness is a complete package. Many believers think they are holy and Heaven is already sure for them because they do not steal, fornicate, commit adultery, do not put on trousers as a female, no earrings, make-up, etc. They have forgotten that giving is one of the criteria in God’s judgment. Jesus Christ said that He would tell you He never knew you because you never gave to the needy and those you had the opportunity to give to when you could. Matthew 25:31-46 KJV

DO NOT BE SELF-CENTRED: Many believers are so self-centred. Giving is like sacrilege or sickness to them. They have no human feelings but they could pray for ten hours asking God for more blessings when no one is benefiting from the ones they already have. There are believers who only know how to give in the form of trade by barter, like those who buy cars for pastors who do not care about their spiritual wellbeing and already have more than enough cars through defrauding and siphoning of people’s wealth in the name of prophecy. Learn to give to the poor orphans, poor widows, and homeless people. Giving to gain back is bribery and selfishness. 1 John 3:17 KJV

YOU MUST NOT BE WEALTHY TO GIVE: Some people want to be billionaires before they can give to someone in need, which is craftiness and witchcraft. Giving is a gift from God and every true believer should have such a gift. Only those that have the gift of genuine giving would enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Anyone who is genuinely born again should have such a gift from God. Learn to give from the little you have. Do not give because you are expecting it back; give sacrificially. Help your family, neighbours,  friends, and everyone that comes your way, and be a joy to everyone that comes around you. God who is a free Giver will reward you on earth, and Heaven is sure for you, as you keep yourself spotless. Acts 20:35 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I receive the grace to be like you, who so loved me and gave Himself for me that I might live. Grant me the grace to give sacrificially to your glory alone, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again”(Proverbs 19:17 KJV).
