TITLE: DAILY LIFE OF A PURE CONSCIENCE IS DEMANDED

Key Text: “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation” (1 Peter 2:12 KJV).

There is always “a fact-checking mirror” watching everyone's actions or lifestyle. No matter how one professes or pretends to be born again, holy or righteous in the eyes of people, it is certain that no one can deceive God, Satan, and himself or herself. No one can lie to himself or herself without knowing that he or she is lying in his or her heart, even if one is a chronic liar or deceiver. Anyone with a dead conscience cannot deceive himself. So, the lifestyle of honesty or falsehood starts from the inside. Many think they are holy with their dishonest lifestyles. They forget that holiness plus righteousness minus honesty is equal to hypocrisy. Now, how honest are you in your walk with God and your dealings with people? Is your conscience giving you good reports about yourself being an honest person? Remember, all liars shall find themselves in the lake of fire, and you are walking majestically to it if you are not honest. 2 Corinthians 8:21 KJV

A GENERATION AT WAR WITH HONESTY: It is a pity that most Christians are changing in consonance with the system of this passing away world. The word honesty is fast losing its strength in the world today. This generation is against honesty, and only a very few people will be happy to associate with one when he or she is honest. Honest people are now tagged to be evil or wicked in this present world, even in most churches of today. The deceptive spirit of the devil has entered into most children of God. As long as humanity keeps rejecting the saving grace of Jesus Christ, nothing good or honest could ever come out of this world. The world would always be at war with the truth and honesty since the Man of truth and light, Jesus Christ, is being rejected. Ezekiel 22:13 KJV

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND BE PECULIAR: As earlier said, one's conscience is the register that takes inventory of everything he or she does before God and man. That is why God's judgment is very easy. Everyone's conscience will bring out all that was done in the body before the judgment seat. No wonder Apostle Paul said in Acts 24:16, “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” Beloved one in Christ, the world or people around you may hate you or see you as evil, wicked or foolish because you have chosen to live an honest lifestyle. Do not stop being who you are and making God happy. It could be very painful now, but gainful at last if you endure till the end. Romans 13:13 KJV

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to live an honest life with a conscience void of offences before you and man, all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men” (Romans 12:17 KJV).
