TITLE: NO SUBSTITUTE FOR FORGIVENESS 

KEY TEXT: “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:14 KJV).

Almost every believer, if not all, wants to enter the Kingdom of God, but how many are keeping the simple law of forgive and be forgiven? Many want to enter a Kingdom that has no place for unforgiveness, which is impossible. Forgiveness is a powerful tool in the life of any believer who truly wants to see the face of the Almighty God and dwell in His Kingdom after leaving this world of hatred, lawlessness, and iniquity. Any believer with a heart of unforgiveness should automatically prepare his or her mind for eternal condemnation. Jesus Christ went through all the pain and humiliation for humanity's sins to be forgiven and enhance our reconciliation with our Father. Ephesians 4:32 KJV

Forgiveness Is Not by Choice: Beloved, I want to make this clear to us, we do not try to consider if we should forgive those who trespass against us or not; we are obliged to do so, or else we will face the consequence that might come if we fail to forgive. The easiest way Satan gets people into hell is through unforgiveness. Remember, the Bible says: "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Ephesians 4:26 KJV

Pride Goes with Unforgiveness: The humility of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, made Him find it easy to forgive our sins. He humbled Himself unto death. No wonder He was fast to say, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do,” while in the face of a painful death. Unfortunately, pride and ego will not allow some people to forgive or say sorry to others. Some people think forgiving easily makes them look weak before the eyes of the person they forgave, but that is the spirit of pride from the devil, and it may take you to where freedom is a forgone issue. Matthew 18:21-22 KJV

PRAYER: I receive the spirit of forgiveness to forgive my offenders from now on, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses” (Matthew 18:35 KJV).
