Topic: God's Set Time
Key Text: Genesis 18:14 KJV - Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Like Abraham, everyone has an appointed time for the promises of God to be manifested in his or her life. Some may take a longer period of time, while others may be shorter. However, God's set time or God's timing remains the best. Abraham's case took decades to be manifested, which led to Sarah's impatience and influence for Abraham to have a child with Hagar, Sarah's maid, against the promise of God. God, in order to reaffirm the covenant with Abraham, told Abraham to walk before Him and be perfect. Genesis 17:1 KJV

Perfect Walk With God Demanded: The period of waiting for God's glorious promises to be manifested in one's life is a period of refinement, purification, cleansing, and adjustment, which requires patience, endurance, perseverance, carefulness, determination, etc., all working towards spiritual growth and perfection. It's a period of being reproved to be approved, tested to be trusted, and going through the fire and not being burned. Sadly, the situations that God allows to refine His children to perfection and spiritual growth are destroying them because of the lack of belief and trust in God. Deuteronomy 8:1-2 KJV

Trust And Know Your God Is Able: In the case of Joseph and his dreams, he had to be rejected and sold as a slave to foreigners, falsely accused and imprisoned, and from prison to be crowned a minister. He never gave up on God; instead, he pressed forward in holiness and righteousness. God glorified Himself greatly and his coat of many colours shone brightly. You can, too, like Joseph, hold on to God. Keep on pressing forward in holiness and righteousness, and in no distant time, all your disappointments shall be turned into appointments, and your weeping turned into songs of joy and testimonies. Philippians 3:14-15 KJV

Prayer: O Lord, I receive the grace to endure in holiness and righteousness, all I have to go through in order for your promises to be manifested in my life, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

Reflection: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19 KJV
