Topic: Eating One's Cake And Having  It 
Key Text: John 12:24 KJV -  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour has made it clear that the only way one can have a better thing is to let the "Valuable good thing" go; so also, the "Valuable better thing" must give way to the "Best". Jesus Christ  demonstrated this by bearing the pain, shame, humiliation, and horrible death on the Cross of Calvary for the glory that was set for him before the throne of God. He knew that his death would bring joy to the world and multiplication to the saints in heaven. Hebrews 12:2 KJV 

Totally Unlike The Gospel Of Jesus Christ: The gospel Jesus Christ left for his disciples was how to suffer for the sake of eternity; and, how one would die to gain his or her life; but, the believers of this generation have invented their own kind of damnable gospel of: eat your cake and have it; the gospel of reaping where one did not sow; gospel of sowing the seed of Iniquity to reap the fruit of condemnation. Most preachers have totally removed the painful but gainful truth of the gospel out of their gospel and replaced it with the gospel of plant by 6am to reap by 6:15am the same hour. John 12:25 KJV 

God's Standard Cannot Be Manipulated: The church leaders can only manipulate their members or their church doctrines to suit their selfish interest; but, the Word of God stands out. It is written, And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me; sadly, many Pastors, Apostles, especially the church Overseers, have taken the Cross from their members and handed over to them poisonous bread and butter to eat,die and send them to hell fire. The believers of old with the sufferings and pain gained their crown of glory; but, believers of today want to enjoy this world and walk into heaven with loads of iniquities, you must amend your ways before it's too late for you. Luke 9:23 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to lose whatever I need to lose for the sake of my love for the true gospel of Christ; and to gain heaven at last in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen.

Reflection: Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 KJV
