Topic: The Power Of  Quietness And Listening 
Key Test: Proverbs 13:3 KJV - He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

The problem that most people are into today is caused by what they had said with their own mouth. Many people, even majority of believers don't know when to be quiet. Today, many christians are crying and saying they want to hear from God. How can that be possible? When they themselves are busy, talking and not giving time to meditation and listening to God. Isaiah 30:15 KJV 

Do More Of Hearing Than Speaking: Most people, believers inclusive are very good in answering and reacting to issues even when they don't know the genesis or have the understanding of what they are talking about. Some people have taken over other people's problems to themselves due to careless contribution on what they are unaware of nor understand. It is written: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: You and I can preserve our souls if we adhere to this word of God. James 1:19 KJV 

One Is Mostly Known By His Or Her Word: Due to the fact that we're represented by our words, it's best if we learn to be quiet. "You are what you say". A wise man or a fool are known by their words. Both a fool and a wise man, can put on the same suite; however, you can hardly differentiate them until they speak. Their speech differentiates them. It is written: Fool uttereth all his mind, but a wise man keepeth it in till  afterwards. May we learn to be reserved for the enemies not to use our word against us in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen. Proverbs 29:11 KJV 

Learn From Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ showed us a very good example of how to do more of listening than talking when He was confronted by the Scribes and Pharisees about the issue of the woman taken in adultery. Jesus was questioned on His point of view on this matter of adultery. He was quiet and gave no answer until he received a response from His Father. His response saved the woman from being stoned to death. We must learn to be quiet in every matter until the right word to speak is given by the Holy Spirit. Our words can either save or destroy lives. John 8:3-12 KJV 

Prayer: Father, may your Spirit rest upon me; to always know the right time to speak, and to be quiet in Jesus mighty name; amen. Job 6:24 KJV 

Reflection: And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 KJV
