TITLE: BACK TO THE GENUINE LOVE OF CHRIST (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: John 14:15 KJV: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

Many believers are trying to walk in the grace that Jesus Christ gave, but walking against the love that He is. Many would be fast to answer 'Yes' if asked if they love Jesus, but they easily forget that there is a test to prove their love for Him. If you love Him, you should keep His commandment. What is that commandment? When Christ was on earth He gave one commandment that superseded other commandments that Moses gave in the Old Testament. It is that we should love one another. John 13:34

If you can keep that commandment, keeping the rest will be easier. The question is: Do we really love one another? If you say 'Yes' in your heart and you hate anybody you have just added sin to your sin. If you are rejoicing when others have fallen and you say you love others, you have lied. If we confess love and see our neighbors living in poverty, yet we have the means to help but fail to help or if we keep offenses boiling in our hearts for long, we are adding sin to sin. 1 John 3:17

Now I understand why people are not getting born again. We are the reason Christianity is going down today, because the Lord says it is with love that people will see we are God's disciples. My question is: Whose disciples are we? We hate one another, but professing love with our lips. If truly we were disciples of Christ, we would love one another genuinely. Hebrews 13:1

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, plant your true love in my heart, so that this race I am running will not be in vain on the last day, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: John 13:35 KJV: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
