TITLE: HOW MUCH DO YOU VALUE YOUR SOUL?

KEY TEXT: “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3 KJV).

The believers in the early Church lived their lives focusing on their eternity with God. The things of this world were counted as vanity to them. Material acquisition was not in their agenda, hence, they could sell all they had and distribute to those who had not, and none lacked anything, unlike today, where the men of God are living luxuriously, and those they are leading are like beggars. In the early Church, men of God and their followers understood what Colossians 3:1-3 actually meant. It is imperative to examine one’s soul to see if it is in line with the Word of God. One may think his or her ways are right with God, hoping to enter Heaven easily. Most people who are in hell had the hope of entering Heaven through self-estimation, but were disappointed. 1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV

DO NOT GAMBLE WITH YOUR SOUL: The natural man does not know the importance of the soul. People use their lifetime to pursue what they would not need after death; they do things without putting their souls into consideration. Many people died and went to hell before realizing the value of their souls. My beloved in Christ, do not allow anyone or your carnal mind to build the hope that cannot be actualized in you. You cannot enter the Kingdom of God without holiness; your daily walk with God must be cordial. Watch everything you do with the eyes of the Spirit of God, check your garment of salvation daily, and never forget that nothing is hidden that will not be exposed after one's death. Philippians 2:12 KJV 

DETERMINE YOUR  ETERNAL END: Beloved in Christ Jesus, our Lord, Jesus Christ, in His infinite mercy, has done all He needed to do to give you a place in His Kingdom and save you from the impending judgment and wrath of God. It would be unfortunate if you are one of those people who have no regard for their souls. Jesus Christ has given you free access to salvation to enhance your eternal living with Him. You can either accept it and strive to live a sinless lifestyle for the safety of your soul, or neglect the gift of salvation, keep dwelling in sin, and prepare for the unbearable torment in hell. I counsel you to repent and make your ways right with God. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, have mercy on me for ever being careless with my soul. I repent of my sins today. Help me live the life that would grant me access into your Kingdom at last, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” (1 John 5:11 KJV).
