TITLE: STOP BEING UNFRUITFUL

KEY TEXT: "For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 1:8 KJV).

No parent would pray or wish to have children who would grow up and become a liability to them. The dream of every godly and responsible parent is to see their children grow to become useful and helpful to them and the society. How do you expect a mother to be happy seeing her unproductive daughter of thirty years with her in the house, or what parent would be happy seeing their children impregnating women or becoming pregnant, giving birth, and leaving the children for them to care for in their old age, instead of enjoying the fruits of their labour? Not a lot of teachers would be happy to see a student he or she taught become a non-entity, constituting a nuisance to the public, while others are doing well and being useful to themselves, their families, and the society. Matthew 25:21 KJV

GOD LOVES FRUITFULNESS: How do you expect God, who created me, to be happy with unfruitfulness if a man who is evil in nature can so detest being unfruitful? One of the things God hates so much with passion is seeing His children being unfruitful. You could imagine how God feels about the state of the unfruitful Church in this generation. What happens mostly in the Church today are Christians who are a liability to God. God is looking for vessels that He can manifest through in this generation of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but the children of God are not ready to labour on their knees in the presence of God. They go up and down, looking for already-manufactured, half-baked miracles, regardless of the sources of the miracles and prophecies. Laziness cannot give birth to productivity; hence, we have a lazy and unfaithful generation of believers. Ephesians 5:15-17 KJV

HOW WOULD THEY NOT LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVES?: What the Church mostly has today on the pulpits are magicians using the name of Jesus Christ to perform magic. They run to Satan for power, since they are too lazy and impatient to follow the ways of the Holy Spirit. They seem fruitful before the eyes of the spiritually blind people because of the crowds of people following them through their magical and diabolical activities. They are unfruitful and enemies of Heaven before the eyes of God. How fruitful are you in the things of God? How many souls have you won to Christ since you became born again? How prayerful are you? How much time do you have for the God you claim to serve? Do you want to enter Heaven being unfruitful? Study your Bible to know the end of the unfruitful believers. Matthew 13:22 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please have mercy on me for being unfruitful, unproductive, unfaithful, and lazy. Forgive me and deliver me from the end-time spirit of unfruitfulness, and make me fruitful, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful" (Titus 3:14 KJV).
