TITLE: YOU ARE LIKE YOUR MASTER 

KEY TEXT: “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” (Matthew 10:25 KJV)

It should not be a surprising thing to see young men who claim to be preaching the word of God behaving uncontrollably. They defraud people, defile women, stage manage prophecies and miracles, and lie without fear because that is how they were taught by their so-called godfathers or mentors. It is impossible for a dirty stream to bring out clean water. Expecting these upcoming pastors to be godly and holy is like telling a turtle to change its scale to animal skin. Our Lord Jesus Christ, in His word, told us that those who believe in Him are expected to become like Him. He said out of them shall flow rivers that give life. Jesus Christ wants everyone that is associated with Him to become as He is. He is a life-giver and out of Him comes the redemption of mankind through which the world was delivered from the wrath of God, and through Him salvation is given to the souls of the redeemed. Romans 6:23 KJV 

YOU GIVE WHAT YOU RECEIVE: Many believers want a flow of the river of life out of their belly as the Bible had said just because they came out of a crusade ground and prayed a simple prayer of accepting Jesus Christ. They have forgotten they only came out because they needed deliverance and blessings from Him, not that they had an interest in Him. The river of life in Christ did not flow into them, and they were not genuinely saved. They had no business with the cross of salvation and the word regeneration or sanctification had no meaning to them. They only came to Jesus Christ for what they could get from Him to satisfy their lusts. How would such people manifest Christ that they have no relationship with? Matthew 5:14 KJV 

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE? Jesus Christ called His followers the light of the world because He is inside of them and shining from within them. He is also a river in those who are genuinely His. He flows from them to other people that need to drink from Him. It is unfortunate that most believers do not even know Him, not to talk of having Him inside. They only know their papa who has no business with God. Most pastors preach money instead of Christ, and this has caused many believers today to be manifesting lust, worldliness, and proudly living in sin as their fathers in the lord do. Repent and embrace Christ genuinely and the rivers of living water will start flowing from within you to others and you will become a light that outshines darkness anywhere you go. Isaiah 44:3 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please purge me of everything that is not of you, and fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I may become the fountain of living water, giving life to others to the glory of God, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:14 KJV).
