TITLE: LOVE GOD AS HE LOVES YOU

KEY TEXT: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Luke 12:34 KJV).

Our God is a loving and giving God. He is ready to give all to show His love to those He wishes to bless, just as He so much showed love to mankind and gave His only begotten Son to pay for the sins He never committed. This showed how much He loved and cared for us. Even after He gave up His Son for us, He has never stopped giving to date. John 3:16 KJV 

LOVE IS ALL ABOUT RECIPROCATION: It is sad that humanity has never truly understood the value of the love God showed by sending His only begotten Son to us. So many have disappointed God by failing to give back what He gave them. It is appalling that many people who God gave ministries to have turned them to their own business enterprises. They have totally removed Jesus Christ from the list of ownership and placed their own names as the director of the investment. 1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV 

LEARN FROM HANNAH, THE MOTHER OF PROPHET SAMUEL: Unlike Hannah, many entered into a crafty contract with God, got what they needed, and completely forgot the agreement they entered with God. My beloved in Christ, you will give an account of everything you received from God. You must return all you ever collected from God to Him. What is that thing you are enjoying? Hand it over back to God, because you have no power of ownership over anything. Everything belongs to God. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, I surrender all you have given me back to you. Have mercy on me for holding onto what is yours for so long, and grant me the grace to live for you all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal” (Matthew 6:19 KJV).
