TITLE: LET GOD DO THE ELEVATION

KEY TEXT: “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalms 75:6-7).

There is no one on earth who has power in him or herself to bless or promote anyone. That is why it is complete foolishness for one to depend on the arm of flesh or run after man, enslaving himself or herself. Many people are doing what they would not ordinarily do just because they need a favour from a man. Many men of God have gone out of the way, doing damnable and hurtful things because they want their church members to praise and love them and mostly because they want to be famous, forgetting the disastrous end that awaits them.  Proverbs 10:22 KJV

GOD KNOWS YOU: Most people are running from God who is the architect of their lives and the One who knew them before they were formed in their mother’s wombs. It is He that knows what He formed and destined everyone to His own glory. God is the only one who knows how and who He will use to manifest His plans in one’s life. Some may say that Apostle Emmanuel Osezele is not correct in what he is saying. “What about people who are making themselves rich?” You might ask, “Are there no wealthy people who do not know God, yet living their lives as they wish, doing all kinds of dubious things? Are some well-known pastors not telling their members that their lives and greatness are in their hands? Why tell me that only God could elevate one?” Proverbs 13:11 KJV

ANYONE CAN BE RICH BUT ONLY GOD CAN BLESS: Humanity is so shortsighted that they think everyone that is rich, popular, and influential is blessed. No, no, no! Most people who are in that category are not blessed. Satan can make people wealthy, influential, and popular, but take their blessings from them. Any type of riches that endangers one’s soul is a curse. Can you now see that most of the people you are trying to emulate are cursed? The scriptures cannot be broken. Only God has the power to promote one and bring down another, and anyone who promotes himself or herself is against the scripture and will face the consequence in the end. You must seek the face of God to direct you on how to go in achieving your God-given mandate in life. Proverbs 24:19 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy upon me and forgive me, in any way I have tried to make myself rich at the expense of my soul. I repent today and ask for the grace to walk according to your plans concerning my life, as you open my eyes to know your purpose concerning my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37 KJV)
