TITLE: SELF-DESTRUCTIVE WICKEDNESS 

KEY TEXT: “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19 KJV).

One will mostly think that wickedness is only when one inflicts pain on another person. People tend to point fingers at those who do dubious things in society when the Bible says that God is angry with the wicked everyday. The very wicked people are the ones pointing at others because they think there are some elements of good deeds in them. The wickedness in our time has no comparison. No wonder our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, said that it would be more tolerable for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah than for this generation that has all it takes to come out of wickedness. What is wickedness? Christ said, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” Wickedness is not necessarily when someone kills, steals, etc. It is knowing the right thing to do but doing the opposite; seeing light but preferring to live in darkness. It is wickedness for one to deliberately want to send his or her soul to hell by not surrendering to Jesus Christ as the Saviour of mankind and the world. John 3:18; Psalm 34:21 KJV 

WICKED SOULS GO TO HELLFIRE: It is wickedness that sends people to hell. God, in His infinite mercy, has done everything to save man from eternal destruction. A majority of people, including those who pretend to be Christians, have deliberately made up their minds that they would rather go to hell than to believe in Jesus Christ or follow the principles of God’s Word. The Word of God says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18 KJV 

HELLFIRE IS ENLARGING ITSELF: As long as people have chosen to remain in their wickedness, hell will keep absorbing their souls. Hell was only made for Satan and his fallen demons, but humanity has turned it into its final destination because of its wickedness that is beyond imagination. The Word of God says, “Husband and wife,” but humanity is saying, “Husband and husband, wife and wife.” Those who were perfectly created by God are using abominable materials such as makeup, fake hair, artificial nails, and other unimaginable things to recreate themselves. One cannot mock God and go unpunished. Anyone who deliberately refuses to surrender to Jesus Christ in holiness is a wicked person in the sight of God. Galatians 6:7 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, please take away every wicked spirit in me. Please deliver me from the spirit of rebellion, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18 KJV).
