Topic: The Cross Or The Crowd?
Key Text: Mark 10:21 KJV - Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ specifically told his followers, if anyone would follow him, he or she must take up his or her cross and follow Him. It's really unfortunate that so many believers are more interested in the crowd than in the Cross. Most men and women of God in our generation don't even know what the Cross is. They are comfortable going along with the crowd rather than to follow Jesus Christ that they claim to have called them. The worldly preachers  pulls lots of crowd; and have lots of famous people with lots of worldly things to offer; however, there are restrictions and abiding principles (do's and don'ts) for holy, righteous, and godly ministers; we must carry our Cross daily. Due to the selfish gain of humanity, many don't want to carry their Cross; but are running from their safety unknowingly. Matthew 16: 24-26 KJV 

You Will Lose Your Crown With The Crowd: Many believers that actually began on a very notable way in their journey to heaven; mingled with the crowd and became contaminated by them. They totally forgot the aim of their running the race and began to enjoy the sinful sumptuous meal of Iniquity. Many have lost their eternal homes in heaven to meet themselves in hell fire; despite the work they claimed to have done in their hypocrisies. 2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV 

Come Out Of The Crowd And Take Up The Cross: Wisdom demands that every believer who truly wants to see Jesus Christ in glory and to have rest in him must adhere to his counsel by taking up his or her cross and follow him daily. The Crowd would only sing one's praises to perish him or her; learn from Jesus Christ. It is written, But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. Never commit yourself to the crowd but to the Cross. John 2: 24 -26 KJV 

Prayer: O Lord my God, I have made up my mind to go for the Cross rather than the crowd in complete obedience to your word; grant me the grace to keep going till the end without looking back in Jesus Christ mighty name; amen. 

Reflection: And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23 KJV
