*TITLE: DEFEAT THE DEVIL AND TEMPTATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST (PART 2)*

*KEY TEXT: Revelation 21:8 KJV: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”*

*The Word of God states that there is a place that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death for everyone who disobeys God. It is a place that they will live forever and ever. Adam and Eve were the first people Satan deceived, and they disobeyed God through the lies of Satan. Adam sinned and because of that sin, death came into the world, and we all became enemies of God. Genesis 3:16-19*

*The devil tried to trick and tempt Jesus more than anyone else in Matthew 4. Satan knew very well, that if Jesus (who alone could reconcile us to no longer be God's enemies) had agreed and allowed himself to be deceived just like Adam and Eve, we could never be saved. Jesus, therefore, had to obey God always. Brethren, we must always obey the commandment of God if we don't want to enter into temptation and eventually hellfire. Matthew 4:1-11*

*What are the tricks that Satan used to see if he could succeed to deceive Jesus Christ when He finished fasting and prayer? He tempted him to turn stones into bread. This implies Satan tempts us to not believe and trust in God to supply our needs. If you cannot trust and believe God fully to supply all your needs, you will begin to take the lies of Satan to manipulate situations without waiting on God. He would like you to do things that are not in accordance with the will of God for you to achieve what you want. Joshua 7:20-21*

*PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from all the deceptions of satan, and help me to be an overcomer, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.*
