TITLE: THE VIRTUE OF DILIGENCE (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Ecclesiastes 10:18 KJV: “By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through."

Proverbs 13:4 reveals, “The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.” This verse contrasts the outcomes of laziness and diligence, highlighting that while the lazy may desire much, only the diligent achieve fulfillment. PROVERBS 20:4

In Proverbs 6:6-8, we are advised to consider the ant: “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” The ant’s diligence serves as a model for preparation and working. PROVERBS 24:30-34

Galatians 6:9 encourages perseverance and diligence: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” This verse assures that consistent and diligent effort will eventually yield positive results. TITUS 2:7

PRAYER: Father Lord, grant me the steadfast grace to finish my work for you and my walk with you with excellent results,in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Colossians 3:17 KJV: “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
