TITLE: IT DOES NOT END IN SUFFERING 

KEY TEXT: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Revelation 21:4 KJV). 

The difference between believers and unbelievers is that believers have hope after this world while the unbelievers do not. Many believers have suddenly dropped their cross because the devil beguiled them, making them believe that their suffering for Christ had no reward. Some think that their lives will end in suffering, so they try to help themselves out of what they were going through for the sake of Christ. Most of the believers’ focus start and end in this world; hence, it is written: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” 1 Corinthians 15:19 KJV

TAKE YOUR FOCUS BEYOND THE PHYSICAL: Those who understand the vanity, riches, and suffering of this world see them as nothing. The more a true believer is wealthy, the more he or she lives soberly, doing everything to keep his or her soul spotless. A true believer reckons that the sufferings in this present world are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. Therefore, a true believer is not worried about going through tribulation or suffering for the sake of the cross. Romans 8:18 KJV

PATIENTLY CARRY YOUR CROSS TILL THE END: Our Lord, Jesus Christ, has told us categorically that He would deny anyone who denies Him and accept anyone who accepts His cross of suffering. It is written: "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us." There is a lot to gain if we patiently endure the loss of this world, because ours is categorized with suffering for the cross of salvation. Those of us who have decided to carry it must pray to receive the spirits of endurance and patience. 2 Timothy 2:12 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please give me and my brethren all over the world, who have decided to carry the cross and follow you, the enduring grace to live a holy life till the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV).
