Topic: Fight The Spirit Of  Envy And Jealousy In You

Key Text: James 3:16 KJV - For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.

The spirit of envy and jealousy are spirits that believers must guide themselves against. They're so cruel and stubborn, and have taken over almost all the believers, including those who think they're so pure, holy and already in heaven. Many believers don't pray against such spirits, because they think these spirits have nothing to do with them. So many Christians and churches are sick because of these two viruses called envy and jealousy. Philippians 1:15 KJV

Simply Put Away Envy And Jealousy: So many Christians have misplaced envy for love and jealousy for commendation. Sometimes, you would hear someone saying, "I love what you're doing, I want to do what you're doing." But if you look deeply in the spirit, you would understand that it's just the lips saying it, while the heart is full of envy and jealousy. Acts 13:45 KJV

Doing Good Things Out Of Envy And Jealousy: Some Christians, even pastors, may go into compulsory fasting out of envy and jealousy. It's a very good thing to fast and pray, but what is your motive? You want to be able to do what your brother, sister or co-pastors are doing or manifesting, so you go into envious fasting and prayers, thinking God is a man that could be fooled. James 3:14-16 KJV

Search Your Heart Again: Are you truly sure you are doing what you're doing because of your love for it? Are you sure you're doing what you're doing to the glory of God, or you are driven by envy and jealousy? Re-check the motive behind your business, ministry, car, dressing, or whatever you think you are doing or have. Are you not doing what you are doing because a friend or someone else is doing it? Are you not trying to prove to someone that you could also do what he or she is doing, all out of envy and jealousy? 1 Corinthians 3:3 KJV

Repent Now: Please repent now and start living your own life. Stop living the life of whosoever you are envy or jealous of. Repent and confess your sins to God and your friends if possible. James 4:7, 5:16a KJV

Prayer: O Lord my Heavenly Father, please deliver me from the spirit of envy and jealousy and grant to me the right spirit to fulfil my own destiny, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. And I pray God will reveal to you His will and plan for your life, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
