Topic: In Whose Glory Is Your Work?
Key Text: Matthew 7:22-23 KJV - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus Christ in His all-knowing power knew what the believers of this rebellious generation would do through His name. He knew how people would use His name for their own selfish gains; hence, He decided to let everyone do whatever he or she would with His name until the day of accountability. Everyone is free to open a supermarket in His name and call it a church. One could go and seek power from the devil or from the marine world and attach the name Jesus to it for miracles. Never forget you will meet the Owner of that name someday. Revelation 14:7 KJV

Who Are You Working For Actually? Remember our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said that many would say they did this or that in His name, and He never said He would tell them they were lying. He knew they would actually use His name to do whatever they wanted to do while in their bodies, but He will tell them that He never knew them because they worked in His name to their own glory or Satan's glory. In whose glory are you doing all the church work you are doing? Colossians 3:23 KJV

Have A Rethink About Your Work: The worst thing that could happen to anyone is for one to hear the Lord Jesus say, "Depart, I never knew you" after one has made people believe he or she was very close to God. They even think you will be escorted into heaven by legions of angels. Let everyone search his or her conscience now that we still have hope of making our ways right with Jesus Christ. Are you using the name of Jesus for your own selfish interest, stealing, fornicating, using demonic power for miracles as a pastor in order to have fame and popularity? You must amend your ways before it's too late and do all you are doing in the name of Jesus for His glory alone. Colossians 3:17 KJV

Prayer: O Lord my God, have mercy and forgive me in any way I have been using the name of Jesus Christ, but taking the glory knowingly or unknowingly. I give it up to His glory from henceforth, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
