TITLE: THE TRUE NATURE OF A CHRISTIAN (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 8:14 KJV: "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Many Christians today are not accepting the leadership of Jesus Christ, yet they claim to be Christians. True Christians receive commands from Jesus Christ. A lot of Christians harbor sin in their hearts. You cannot be a Christian and retain sin in your heart. It is impossible to cast out demons with a dirty heart; that demon will cast you out instead. It is either the demon casts you out or they go straight to your loved ones. EPHESIANS 4:31-32 KJV

Before you cast out anything that is evil, make sure you have no sin in your life. Sin is the stronghold of demons, and there is no sin in Christ. Did you know that when Christ is angry, He is only angry with the devil and not the person? If you want Christ to answer your prayers, make sure you are pure and holy. ACTS 19:13-16 KJV

When a Christian prays with sin in his or her life, he or she is wasting time, delaying blessings, frustrating his or her destiny, and condemning what God is bringing to him or her. It is a command that all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. Let every sin go, or else you will remain in the same position forever. JOHN 9:31 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I repent of all the sins that I committed. Please forgive me, Lord, and grant me the grace to go and sin no more, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 CORINTHIANS 7:1 KJV).
