TITLE: THE KEY TO AN EFFECTIVE PRAYER LIFE (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 10:6 KJV “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”

The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Now, can you ask yourself why righteousness comes before peace? Because no matter how you pray or fast as an unrighteous person, it can never work and you will never have peace in your life. Before joy and peace can come, you must keep yourself pure, holy, and righteous. How can one finish fornicating then start speaking in tongues? Who is answering such a prayer? If you are living in sin and speaking in tongues, you are speaking with the tongues of devils, and hell awaits. ROMANS 14:17 KJV

When the children of God pray, it is centred on joy and peace. When there is a problem in one’s life, he or she prays about it in order to have peace. Even if a Christian does not pray much, he or she could still experience joy and peace, as long as he or she remains pure. The prayer of a sinner is an abomination to the Lord, and it is an ineffective prayer. JOHN 9:31 KJV

The Bible commands that husbands should love their wives as Christ loves the Church, and wives should submit to their husbands as the Church submits to Christ, but not many married couples are obeying this part of the Bible and they want God to answer their prayers. Christian couples should know that they are telling the world that they want to be seen as Christ and the Church. Husbands, live the life of Christ to your wives, and wives, live the life of the Church to your husbands. EPHESIANS 5:22 and 25 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, grant me the grace to keep your commands and to obey them promptly and completely to enjoy the peace that comes through holy living, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered“ (1 PETER 3:7 KJV).
