TITLE: DELIBERATELY IGNORANT OF THE TIME

KEY TEXT: “Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the Lord” (Jeremiah 8:7 KJV).

It is written: “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment” (1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV). I would not say that the children of God are unaware of the times that we are in, but a majority know we are in perilous times and dangerous days, and they deliberately turn deaf ears to the warnings. We are in a time when almost everything in the world that seems to be good to the eyes are becoming tools in Satan's hands to hunt for the souls of man, yet believers are desperate to run after what is against them because of temporal pleasure. Only believers who do not study their Bibles depend on their actors in pastors' clothing to tell them what they want to hear. Most believers are deliberately living carelessly during these perilous times and dangerous days. How could a child of God, even men of God who are supposed to live by example, be so engulfed with worldliness during this critical time that the coming of Christ is so close?! This is a time when the things of this world are now more of sorrow than happiness; nothing is enjoyable in this world anymore. 2 Peter 3:10-13 KJV 

WHEN WILL HUMANITY LEARN?:  Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, during His earthly mission to redeem man from the bondage of sin, Satan, and hell, never stopped lamenting over the inability of the children of promise (the Israelites) to discern the times. He lamented that they were (in their carnal minds) able to discern the weather, know when it would rain or be sunny, and the planting and harvesting season, but they were unable to discern the most important thing, which was the time of the fulfilment of the promise of God to redeem mankind though Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6-7, Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV 

UNDERSTAND THE TIMES AND BE FREE: It is really unfortunate that humans are very slow in knowing to do the right things for the safety of their souls, but they are very quick to know how to do evil to their own detriment. The same cobweb of worldliness during Noah's time and the rebellious lifestyles during Jesus Christ’s physical ministry on earth are still persisting thousands of years after man's redemption. Humanity has refused to wake up from slumber to the reality of the times and surrender to Jesus Christ. The majority who profess to be born again are having PhDs in worldliness. The Holy Spirit is working hard to save believers, but they have decided to remain a slave to sin and Satan. My dear reader of this message, why don't you reconsider your ways, repent of your sins, and open your eyes to the reality of the times, so that you will not be caught unaware. Romans 13:11, Luke 12:54-56 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me, in any way I have been chasing after vanity, allowing myself to be blinded against the reality of the end-time’s glaring manifestation. Please, Lord, open my eyes to the reality of the perilous times and keep me prepared for your coming, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:16-17 KJV).
